Jane & James || A London Luxury Winter Wedding at the Corinthia Hotel London
I am in the slow process of writing some blogs to show some weddings that Sincerely may has been apart. This is a little throw back to when I designed on the day wedding stationery for a London wedding at the Corinthia Hotel. Have you seen their roof terrace? The skyline views are to die for!
Now, I am a summer girl, through and through. However I LOVE a winter wedding, especially a city winter wedding. Jane and James planned an elegant and sumptuous winter wedding with the help from Alexandra at The Bijou Bride. They chose the talented florist Paula Rooney who created the most stunning centrepieces along with an incredible flowering tree for their escort table which greeted guests as they came into the entrance hall. A great alternative to a table plan! Paula is a floral genius!!
I was asked to design some on the day stationery which had a hand painted London skyline stationery in a blush pink to compliment the wedding venue. The Corinthia has a roof top terrace which has the most amazing view of the London skyline so this was a great starting point of what London icons to choose from. Jane and James had guests coming from overseas, so this was a great way to include the great skyline within their day.
Jane and James wanted table numbers which were named after special places that meant a lot to them as a couple. Each table card header had little statements on the back which explained the reasons why they chose that particular place. From first dates to where they got engaged. This made each table special to each of their guests.
They also chose a personalised bar menu with drinks that they had chosen particularly for their day. I think this is a great idea as your guests can learn more about you as a couple and your tastes!
They had the most amazing cake made for them by S K Cakes which had blush pink sugar roses which tied in with the blush pink on the day wedding stationery. Every detail was thought of and I feel it really showed on the day.
I feel this wedding is a great example of how going down the bespoke wedding stationery route can really enhance our day and make the little details more bespoke to you and your fiancé. You can make each element truly unique to yourselves and help tell your ‘story’ to your guests. Whether this is including table names that are names of places that have meaning to you or having a personalised hand painted skyline of the area that you are getting married. It really can be whatever your imagination desires. Also, if your imagination can’t think of any ideas. Lets have a chat and we can brainstorm some ideas together!
